Students from the Western Connecticut State University music program entertained over 100 members of the Woman's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield at the club's February meeting. The students are part of the University's jazz ensembles. The school's outstanding music program also offers performances in classical music and the theater performing arts.

The students who performed at the WCDNF meeting belong to the jazz group "Weisz". The musicians were: Kevin Fry on drums, Matt Munster on bass, Kyle Gilder and Adam Ward on saxophones, Alex Lossenko on guitar and Nico Marini on piano. Matt Doiran, the Director of Music Education at WCSU, accompanied the students and gave an informative talk about the musical offerings and performances that are available to the community at the Visual and Performing Arts Center of WCSU.

The Woman's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield is most pleased to have invited these students to recognize the caliber of their performance and thank them for contributing to the quality of life to our community through the arts.
