Woman's Club Of Danbury/New Fairfield Awards Scholarships To Local High School Seniors

Scholarships are awarded to local high school seniors in recognition of their outstanding high school performance.

Since 1982, The Woman's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield has awarded scholarships to local high school seniors. Through the years, $264,645 has been awarded through the club's yearly poinsettia sales.

This year, seven area high school seniors shared a sum of $10,500 to award them for their excellent academic performance, outstanding school participation and community service. This year's recipients are Jenna Saltman from Danbury H.S., Olivia Chila from Immaculate H.S., Madelyn Giddings from New Fairfield H.S., Lori Soares and Kevin Nunez from Henry Abbott Technical School and Ariana West and Joseph Topia from The Alternative Center for Excellence.

In the Fall 2025, Jenna will attend Northwestern University, Olivia will attend Fairfield University, Madelyn will attend the University of Vermont, Lori will attend Sacred Heart University, Kevin will attend the University of Connecticut, and Ariana and Joseph will attend Naugatuck Valley Community College.
