Each December, members of the Woman's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield sell poinsettias to local businesses, professional and municipal offices, neighbors, family and friends. This year, 2,518 plants were sold. The proceeds from the sales plus donations from members totaled $26,000. The money will be distributed to local non-profit organizations and charities and support local high school scholarships for high school seniors in the Danbury and New Fairfield schools. The distribution and delivery of the plants on December 2 were done by members of the Woman's Club of Danbury/New Fairfield and the Men's Club of Danbury. We want to thank all those who contributed to make this year's philanthropic effort so successful. And on behalf of all those who contributed and helped to make this year's program a success, we thank you for all those who will benefit from your generosity. Happy New Year !
