World Cup Watch Parties Planned Across Danbury: Here's When And Where

Restaurants and community organizations will host matches throughout June as part of a citywide celebration.

DANBURY, CT — Soccer fans will have multiple opportunities to cheer on their favorite teams this month as Danbury launches a series of World Cup watch parties at businesses throughout the city.

Mayor Roberto Alves announced the schedule this week, describing the events as a celebration of the diverse communities that call Danbury home. The watch parties will feature teams representing several of the city's largest cultural communities while encouraging residents to support local businesses.

  • Mexico vs. South Africa — June 11 at 3 p.m. at Pancho's Tacos
  • United States vs. Paraguay — June 11 at 9 p.m. at Pippa's
  • Brazil vs. Morocco — June 13 at 6 p.m. at Diamond Club
  • Ivory Coast vs. Ecuador — June 14 at 7 p.m. at La Mitad Del Mundo
  • Portugal vs. DR Congo — June 17 at 1 p.m. at Casa do Benfica
  • United States vs. Australia — June 19 at 3 p.m. at Elicit Brewing Co.
  • Brazil vs. Haiti — June 19 at 9 p.m. at Diamond Club
  • Portugal vs. Uzbekistan — June 23 at 1 p.m. at Casa do Benfica
  • Scotland vs. Brazil — June 24 at 6 p.m. at Diamond Club
  • Ecuador vs. Germany — June 25 at 4 p.m. at La Mitad Del Mundo
  • Turkey vs. United States — June 25 at 10 p.m. at O'Brien's

City officials encouraged residents to gather with friends and family, support local establishments and celebrate what Alves called "a global game in a truly global city."
