17 Seniors Receive National Merit Scholarship Recognition In Darien

The seniors received letters of commendation in recogntion of their academic performance.

DARIEN, CT — Seventeen Darien High School seniors were recently honored with letters of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program.

DHS Principal Ellen Dun presented the scholastically talented students with the letters in recognition of their outstanding academic promise.

According to the National Merit Scholarship Program, 34,000 students will be named "commended students," but they will not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships.
