2 Burglaries Reported On Same Street: Darien Police

Police said they responded to two separate burglary reports on the same street on Sept. 24. A car was also stolen nearby.

DARIEN, CT — Two burglaries were reported on the same street in Darien on Sept. 24, and a car was stolen nearby, according to police.

On that date at approximately 1:14 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary at a home on Huckleberry Lane.

A resident reported that a handbag containing valuable items was stolen from their unlocked car that was parked inside an open garage, police said.

While investigating, a separate burglary was discovered at an another home on Huckleberry Lane. A resident there reported that both of his unlocked cars had been rifled through, but nothing was taken, police said. The cars were also parked inside an open garage.

Also on Sept. 24 at approximately 7:04 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen car at a home on Ledge Road.

A resident reported their 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander XLE was stolen at 1:30 a.m., police said. It was recovered later in the day in Hartford.
