2-Hour Delayed Opening Announced For Darien Public Schools
The school district said it will operate under a delayed opening a day after classes were canceled due to snow and ice.
DARIEN, CT — Due to icy conditions, Darien Public Schools is operating under a two-hour delayed opening on Wednesday, Jan. 17, the school district announced on its website.
A winter storm brought snow and sleet to the area on Tuesday which caused classes to be canceled.
The forecast for Wednesday will be sunny but cold, with a high near 26 and wind chill values between 5 and 15, according to the National Weather Service.
