2 Vehicles Reported Stolen, 2 Burglarized In Darien: PD
All four incidents were reported on Nov. 17, according to police.

DARIEN, CT — Two vehicles were reported stolen from homes in Darien, and two others burglarized, on Nov. 17, according to Darien police, marking the latest in the ongoing trend of such incidents in town.
The first of two reported stolen vehicles was a green 2000 Acura Integra from a home on West Avenue.
"The owner stated he left his vehicle locked and in the driveway the night before," wrote Darien police in a statement. "He told officers there was only one key for the vehicle, which he still had. Inside the stolen vehicle were two car-computers totaling $600 in value. Officers found no evidence of forced entry while on scene. Investigation to continue."

In the second case, a gray 2016 BMW X3 was reported stolen from a home on South Trail.
"The complainant stated that sometime during the overnight hours, her car had been stolen. The complainant
didn’t believe the key had been left in the vehicle, but was unable to locate it. It was confirmed that the vehicle was unlocked. Investigation to continue."
Of the vehicle burglaries, a 2015 Lexus IS250 was broken into during the overnight hours while parked at a home on Rebel Lane.

"[The owner] came out to her vehicle in the morning and saw the contents strewn about the passenger’s compartment," wrote police. "The vehicle had been left unlocked overnight. It appeared that nothing had been taken. Investigation to continue."
In the second case, also on Rebel Lane, a 2009 BMW 128i was broken into, which police discovered when they contacted the owner while canvassing the area for clue of the earlier case.
"She reported that she got into her vehicle in the morning and noticed her glove compartment was open. The contents of the glove box were on the front passenger’s seat. The vehicle had been left unlocked."
