DARIEN, CT — Two vehicles were stolen from a BMW dealership in Darien last week, according to police.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said officers received a report of a theft in progress at BMW of Darien, located on Ledge Road, on March 7 around 10 p.m.

The alarm company reported several alarm notifications and that at least one person was in the building, Skoumbros said. When officers arrived at the dealership, they discovered the padlock to the gate on the side of the building had been cut and a garage bay window had been smashed.

Inside the garage bay, the circuit breaker panel was open and the power had been turned off, Skoumbros said. Officers cleared the building and determined the suspects had fled prior to their arrival.

Police determined two suspects had entered the dealership and stole keys to vehicles being serviced at the dealership. They then entered two vehicles in the lot and drove them through the side gate, Skoumbros said.
