2 Vehicles Stolen In Darien: Police
Witnesses told police they saw around eight youths exit one of the stolen vehicles before getting into a BMW SUV.
DARIEN, CT — A white 2021 BMW X7 and a 2019 gray BMW X5 were recently reported stolen in Darien, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said a Dubois Street resident reported the X7 stolen on Oct. 11 after it had been left unlocked with the keys in the center console.
According to Skoumbros, a neighbor's surveillance video showed two passengers exit a dark-colored SUV and approach cars on Dubois Street that morning around 5:30 a.m. The resident was also able to provide tracking information that indicated the car was in Waterbury.

The stolen vehicle was later seen on Interstate 95 in Fairfield, however the driver fled and exited the interstate when members of an Auto-Theft Task Force attempted to stop it, Skoumbros said.
The vehicle was later found in Bridgeport, where witnesses told police they saw around eight youths exit the vehicle before getting into a dark-colored BMW SUV, Skoumbros said.

The X5 was reported stolen by a Coves End Road resident on Oct. 15 after the car was left unlocked with a key fob inside. The resident's purse, a tennis racquet and clothing were in the vehicle at the time of the theft, Skoumbros said.
