2017 Darien Memorial Day Parade Road Closures
The parade is scheduled for Monday, May 29.

DARIEN, CT — With the annual Town of Darien Memorial Day Parade scheduled for Monday, May 29, the local police department has issued the following announcement about road closures.
"As in past years, the parade route runs from Goodwives Shopping Center on Old Kings Highway North, up Brookside Road out to the Boston Post Road and ends at the Veterans Cemetery located at Post Road and Hecker Avenue," wrote officials. "The parade steps off promptly at 10 a.m."
Motorists are advised to expect delays in the downtown area of Darien between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., as the Post Road will be closed to all traffic for the safety of participants and spectators.

"The Darien Police Department will have a full complement of officers stationed along the parade route to assist with road closures as well as ensuring pedestrian and spectator safety."
There will be a Memorial Day ceremony held at the Veteran’s Cemetery at the conclusion of the parade, and the annual Post 53 Food Fair will be held in Tilley Pond Park.
