Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
Every municipality has a unique set of circumstances and I believe zoning decisions are best made at the local level. My many years of experience as a real estate professional gives me a good perspective on housing needs for the town of Darien.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is developing diversity of housing. I intend to continue to support for local zoning control so that we can do this in a manner that is sensitive to our needs as a costal town and the corresponding environmental and flooding concerns that we face.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have previously served on the RTM as the Chair of the PZH committee. Additionally I have volunteered as a Director for the Darien Board of Realtors and also served as a Co-President for the Council of Darien School Parents.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
My mother always advised to "not judge a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes".
