2nd Annual Darien Trunk-Or-Treat Raises Over $1.4K
Money will go towards supporting Darien Social Services, and 25 halloween costumes will be donated to Person to Person.
DARIEN, CT — The second annual Trunk-Or-Treat event was held this past weekend by the Darien High School Student Government, and over $1,400 was raised, according to the Darien High School Parents Association.
Money will go towards supporting Darien Social Services, and 25 halloween costumes will be donated to Person to Person.
Clubs, sports teams and student groups decorated cars and provided attendees with a safe and fun trick or treating experience. All children in grade 5 and under from the town of Darien had the opportunity to attend the event. The event was free, but parents were encouraged to donate $5 per person.

"It was wonderful to see students young and old having such Halloween fun yesterday at the second annual Trunk or Treat," Darien High School Parents Association said on Facebook Monday. "With over 50 clubs participating and younger students from all over town in attendance, it was a great community building event!"
New or gently used Halloween costumes were donated to Person to Person, a nonprofit based in Darien that aims to provide individuals and families with assistance for basic needs to overcome daily challenges and access to resources to improve their lives.
