3 Burglaries Reported On Same Day In Darien: Police

Police responded to three burglary reports on Oct. 24, according to the Darien Police Department.

DARIEN, CT — Three burglaries were reported in Darien on the same day, according to the most recent crime summary update from police.

On Oct. 24 at approximately 7:26 a.m., officers responded to a home on Hillside Avenue on a report of a burglary at a construction site. Several power tools were stolen from a lockbox in the garage, police said.

Later the same day, officers responded to another burglary report at approximately 7:46 p.m. at a home on Three Wells Lane.

The homeowners there reported to police that while in the house, they heard noises and found signs of a break-in, including a smashed window and a "disturbed" jewelry box, police said.

A short time later at approximately 8:27 p.m., officers responded to a burglary on Birch Road.

The homeowner saw two men inside her home, police said, noting they found a broken glass door that indicated forced entry.
