3 Darien Girls Lacrosse Players Make All-State First Team: Report

The 2019 players were announced by GameTimeCT this week.

DARIEN, CT — Three Darien High School girls lacrosse players were named to the 2019 Connecticut All-State First Team, which included Player of the Year honors going to Darien's Ashley Humphrey, announced GameTimeCT on Tuesday.

Humphrey, a junior who plays attack, tallied a team-high 129 points - 63 of which were goals - to help lead the Blue Wave to another state championship, the team's third in the past four seasons.

Also named to the all-state team were senior Midfield defender Katie Elders, a co-captain, who scored 24 goals this season, and Sarah Jaques, a junior Midfielder who led the team in goals with 84.
