39th Annual Darien Road Race Benefits Community Fund

From Darien Community Fund:The 39th annual Darien Road Race is scheduled for Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at Pear Tree Point Beach and includes a 1.5 “Fun Run” and 5 mile race. This year’s race will begin at 9:00 am for the 1.5 mile Fun Run and 9:30 am for the 5 mile. The race will feature “The Finish Line” tent with music, games, sponsor booths, silent auction and an awards ceremony.

The race is made possible by local business sponsors. The Title Sponsor for the 2018 Darien Road Race is Newport Academy. Bankwell is our Platinum Sponsor of the Fun Run. The Gold Sponsors for this year’s event are Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Specialists, Tooher-Ferraris Insurance Group and Vineyard Vines.

The registration fee is $45.00 ($55.00 on race day) and $15.00 for all children 12 and under. Runners will be allowed to sign-up onsite the morning of the race. However, they will be required to self-register at https://runsignup.com/Race/CT/... and should bring their cell phones (they can also just Google 2018 Darien Road Race). The first 500 registrants will receive t-shirts.
