$500 Worth Of Candles, Infant Formula Stolen From Darien CVS: PD

Police said the suspect was seen filling reusable bags with items and leaving the store without paying.

DARIEN, CT — Over $500 worth of candles and infant formula were reported stolen from a CVS in Darien last week.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said the manager of the store, located at 964 Post Road, told officers a suspicious man was seen leaving the store Nov. 19 around 2:50 p.m. carrying two reusable Stop and Shop bags filled with items.

The manager reviewed video surveillance the following day and determined the suspect stole $529.30 worth of candles and infant formula, Skoumbros said.

"The suspect is seen filling the Stop and Shop bags and then leaving the store without paying," Skoumbros said in a news release.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a face mask, camouflage pants and a camouflage sweatshirt, Skoumbros said.
