53rd Annual CCNS Art Show and Sale Features David Dunlop June 4-7

Rowayton preschool fundraiser showcases Dunlop and over 550 pieces of original art by more than 70 artists

The Community Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS) in Rowayton is holding its 53rd Annual Art Show and Sale on June 4 through 7. Featured artist David Dunlop and more than 70 professional artists will offer original artwork for sale in this long-standing community event.

Art lovers wait all year for this show, which assembles a diverse range of original art to suit any style and budget under one roof, and where 40% of all proceeds will be donated to CCNS and are tax-deductible for the buyer.

This year’s featured artist is a painter, teacher, lecturer, and the writer and artist on the Emmy© Award-winning PBS series Landscapes Through Time with David Dunlop. He is also on the faculty of the celebrated Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan. Based in Wilton, Dunlop is widely known in the local art scene for his landscape paintings that draw from both Renaissance techniques and modern-day science.

Art Show Details:

Opening Night is Thursday, June 4th from 7pm to 10pm. The show continues Friday, June 5th from 6pm to 10pm, Saturday, June 6th from 4pm to 8pm and Sunday, June 7th from 1pm to 4pm.

Admission for Opening Night is $40, which includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres, valet service and live music by singer-songwriter and pianist Michelle DeAngelis. Admission on Friday is $15 and features live music.

Organizations supporting this year’s show iclude Jerry’s Artorama, Lillian August, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty.

The school and the Art Show & Sale are located at 4 Trolley Place in Rowayton, Connecticut.
