7 Darien Students Selected As Presidential Scholar Candidates
The scholar program recognizes and honors some of the nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors.

DARIEN, CT — Seven students from Darien High School have been selected as candidates for the 2024 United States Presidential Scholars Program.
The students are Anna Gjervold, Pasquale Hoffman, Grace Liu, Annika Mengwall, Aadya Pai, Amanda Smith. and Sarah Williams. These students have been recognized based on broad academic achievement and having scored exceptionally well on the SAT or ACT.
Established in 1964 by Executive Order of the President, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program recognizes and honors some of the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors.
