700+ Darien Students Absent Day Before February Break
Superintendent Dan Brenner said it may be time to consider going back to a full week of vacation.
DARIEN, CT — A total of 714 Darien Public School students were absent the day before February break began and another 334 were absent the day before that.
Darien started the break on a Thursday and ended on the following Tuesday to follow the regional school calendar, according to the Darien News. In years past the district had an entire week off.
Superintendent Dan Brenner suggested considering going back to a full week vacation and putting it on the same week as President's Day.
