$8,000 Necklace, Computer Stolen In Darien: Police
Police said items such as a computer, jewelry and other valuables were recently stolen from a home and vehicle in Darien.

DARIEN, CT — Police said items such as a computer, jewelry and other valuables were recently stolen from a home and vehicle in town.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said a Fairmead Road resident reported jewelry and cash stolen from her home on Oct. 6.
According to the resident, a necklace valued at $8,000, as well as $300 cash, were missing from her purse. After searching her home for the items, the resident told police she believed they had been stolen.

The following day, a Pear Tree Point Road resident reported her 2018 Mercedes Benz had been entered overnight and numerous clothing items and a computer were stolen from it. The resident said she did not lock the vehicle the night before the theft, Skoumbros said.
