A 'Concierge' Service to Do It for You in a Snap

If you need a chore or a project done, Alison Greenspon and her new business, Snap, are ready to help.

When the store Alison Greenspon was working for in New York City closed and she lost her job, Greenspon had two goals for her career:

"I was thinking, 'What can I do that's helpful to people and that I enjoy doing?"

And she hit upon opening a 'concierge' service whets she'd help out clients with tasks they didn't have time for or needed help with.

Greenspon could help you get your car registered, or she could buy your Christmas cards, address them, then seal the envelopes, stamp them and mail them

Need to organize your office, throw a party, shop for a birthday gift or pick up the dry cleaning? Alison to the rescue!

"I like to think of it as an executive assistant, helping your personal life," she said. "I briefly worked in the city for an event planner, so I know how to plan and throw an event."

She calls her new concierge business "Snap," she said, "because my whole goal is to help you get things done in a snap."

Earlier this year Greenspon moved back to town (where she graduated from Darien High in 1998). "I thought it would be nicer to do something like this in my own community"

Greenspon charges $30 per hour and can also arrange to do projects for a flat fee.

You can reach Greenspon by email at alison@thesnapconcierge.com, through her website, or on Facebook. You can also call her at 203.550.2702.
