Absentee Ballots Available Soon For Presidential Preference Primary
The Presidential Preference Primary in Connecticut is Tuesday, April 2.

DARIEN, CT — Absentee ballots for the April 2 Presidential Preference Primary will be available in Darien on March 12, the town said in its recent newsletter
Electors must be registered to either the Democratic or Republican party to be eligible to vote in the primary election. If a registered voter is unable to vote in person on primary or Election Day, the voter may apply to the Town Clerk for an absentee ballot for any of the following reasons:

- Active service in the armed forces of the United States
- Absence from the town of residence
- Sickness
- Religious tenets
- Duties as an election official at your polling place on Election Day
- Physical disability
Residents seeking to fill out an absentee ballot must first complete an application and return it to the Darien Town Clerk in room 101 at town hall.
The application can be obtained in person, by mail or through the Connecticut Online Absentee Ballot Request Portal.

The printed application must be signed by the voter and mailed or hand-delivered to the Town Clerk's office. If using the online portal, the application will be electronically delivered to the Town Clerk's office the next day, the town said.
