Altice USA, Disney Announce 'Agreement In Principle'
The two companies had been sparring over carriage fees.

Cable television provider Altice USA and Disney "have reached an agreement in principle" in their fee dispute, the two companies announced Sunday, and Disney-owned channels remain available for Altice's Optimum subscribers in Fairfield County and Connecticut.
"We have reached an agreement in principle and have extended the deadline accordingly to try and finalize the terms," the companies announced in a joint statement. Specific terms of the agreement in principle were not disclosed.
Disney had threatened to pull its channels - including ESPN and ABC - from the Optimum lineup as early as Sunday afternoon, Oct. 1, if a new deal had not been reached. Altice USA serves more than 2.6 million customers in the Tri-State area and Pennsylvania.
