An American flag at the Noroton Avenue overpass was defaced earlier this week.
The flag now has the number 12 cut into it, according to the Darien Times. It is unknown why the number 12 was cut.
Darien’s Monuments and Ceremonies Commission handles te placement of the flag and replaces it when there is damage.
