DARIEN, CT — A "significant quantity" of tobacco products was stolen from a Darien gas station in an early-morning burglary last week, according to police.
At approximately 3:34 a.m. on April 14, police responded to a commercial burglar alarm at the Shell gas station located at 164 Noroton Ave.
Officers noticed a shattered front door and confirmed there was forced entry, a crime summary report said.
Three suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored Nissan sedan, police said, noting further investigation found a second burglary incident at the Gulf gas station at 180 Noroton Ave.
"Preliminary evidence suggests the same suspects forced entry into the Gulf station immediately prior to the Shell burglary," police added.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
