Darien Police Issue Advisory On 'Senior Assassin 2026' Game

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department has issued an advisory on the student-organized game known as "Senior Assassin 2026," which is set to begin April 25.

"This activity involves participants using water guns to 'eliminate' assigned targets over a series of weeks," police said in a social media post. "While intended as a game, we want to remind the community that this type of activity can create safety concerns and public alarm if not conducted responsibly."

Police provided the following safety reminders:

• Water guns can be mistaken for real weapons, especially in low light or from a distance.
• Do not engage in this activity in or around roadways, parking lots, or while operating a vehicle.
• Avoid approaching individuals in a way that could be perceived as threatening.
• Respect all private property—do not enter without permission.
• Follow all school rules, workplace policies, and restricted areas.
• Be mindful of your surroundings and how your actions may impact others.
• Parents and guardians are encouraged to speak with their children about making safe and responsible decisions while participating.
• Any behavior that causes alarm, involves trespassing, unsafe driving, or disorderly conduct may result in police response and possible enforcement action.
