DARIEN, CT — Darien EMS–Post 53 is scheduled to host its annual Memorial Day Food Fair on Monday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tilley Pond Park following the town’s Memorial Day Parade.
The event is set to include food trucks, children’s games, a silent auction, ambulance tours and live entertainment. Food Fair tickets will be sold by Post 53 high school EMTs throughout the community ahead of the event and will also be available at the fair and online.
Raffle and Food Fair tickets are available here.
According to organizers, the silent auction will include items such as a Park City, Utah condominium stay, New York Giants tickets, Mets vs. Red Sox tickets, a KVO Collections necklace, golf packages and mahjong packages.
"All proceeds from the Food Fair support Post 53 and ensure our EMTs have the training and resources they need to serve the Darien community," said Post 53 Executive Director Joe Larcheveque, in a news release. "We’re incredibly grateful for the community’s continued support."
The event will also include a boat raffle featuring a Parker 18SE center console with a trailer valued at more than $60,000 and donated by Boats Inc.
"We’re proud to support Post 53 and the essential role they play in keeping the Darien community safe," said Scott Leahy, principal at Boats Inc. "Their work makes a real difference for families across town, and we’re honored to contribute in a meaningful way."
