Lesley Agnes Serricchio, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Darien, Connecticut on May 3, 2026, with her husband by her side.
Born in Liverpool, England, Lesley was the daughter of Leslie Fanning and Norah Hall. She spent her early years in Liverpool before moving to the United States as a young woman to work as an au pair, eventually building a life and family in Connecticut. In 1986, she proudly became a United States Citizen, a milestone she cherished deeply to the day that she passed away.
Lesley devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker and stay-at-home mother to her two sons, Fred and Mike. She was known for her gentle spirit, caring heart, unwavering work ethic, and quiet strength. Her family was always at the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved.
She also enjoyed following politics on the radio and television and was an avid reader who could often be found with a book in hand and later on in life, an IPad. Her thoughtful nature, kindness, and steady presence touched everyone who knew her .She liked to travel to Vermont with her husband, and California to see her grandchildren .Lesley frequented Mohegan Sun Casino where she loved playing the penny slots and having a glass of Merlot. She traveled to Atlantic City, and even back to London a couple of times to see family some years ago.
Lesley enjoyed driving to the Darien beaches and taking a walk on warm spring and summer days .She raise 2 German Shepherds over the years and just recently had a puppy German Shepherd (Niko) to keep her company and be by her side during the day. Many years ago, she was known for hosting magnificent dinner parties and social events in her home and cooking and service delicious food and drinks to house guests from far and away places like Indiana, London, and throughout the Northeast United States.
Lesley will be remembered most for the warmth she brought into the lives of others, the love she gave so freely to her family, and the gentle grace with which she lived her life. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Lesley is survived by her beloved husband, Fred Serricchio; her sons, Fred Serricchio (Aidyl) of La Canada, California and Michael Serricchio (Jennifer) of Fairfield, Connecticut, and her cherished four grandsons, Joey Serricchio, of La Canada, California, Owen Serricchio, of Portland Oregon, Ryan Serricchio and Connor Serricchio, both of Fairfield, Connecticut.
She is also survived by her sister, Carol, and brothers, Jeff, Stephen, and Peter. She was predeceased by both her parents and her sister, Pat.
Private cremation services will be held for the immediate family.
