Darien Arts Center Celebrates Class of 2026 Senior Dancers

DARIEN, CT - This spring, the Darien Arts Center Dance Academy celebrates an extraordinary group of graduating seniors: Logan Samuel, Bridget Parr, Zara Maggard, Eloise Malliee, and Sabrina Byrnes. These five dancers have grown, challenged themselves, and inspired the DACDA community throughout their time at the academy.

For many of these seniors, DACDA has been more than just a dance studio — it's been a second home where they've built lasting friendships, discovered their passion for dance, and developed into confident young artists and leaders.

Sabrina Byrnes began her DACDA journey at just two years old and has spent the last sixteen years at the academy. "I started at DACDA when I was two years old, and over the last sixteen years, I don't think there is any other place that I would call my second home. What has always set DACDA apart in my head is the fact that we are given so many outstanding opportunities not only in ballet, but also in jazz, contemporary, and neo-classical styles, so there is always something new to learn! On top of that, the people I have met at DACDA are truly some of my best friends in the entire world. Some of my most cherished memories will be trying on our Nutcracker costumes together every winter, doing our makeup in a line sitting in front of the studio mirrors, and simply just growing up by each other's side. Through our long weekend rehearsal days, these girls have always kept me smiling because there is no one else I'd rather have cheering me on from the wings!"

Logan Samuel grew up surrounded by DACDA, as her siblings danced at the academy before her. "The Darien Arts Center has been such a meaningful part of my life, especially because dance has always been important to my family (my siblings danced here before me), and I grew up around DACDA. Being involved has given me so many opportunities for leadership and personal growth, especially through producing SWTWCD and creating choreography. I love that DACDA creates such a supportive environment where dancers can explore their creativity, take risks, and grow alongside their friends. It has helped shape not only my love for dance, but also who I am as a leader and person. I'll always be grateful for the memories, friendships, and experiences that made DACDA feel like a second home growing up."

As they move forward to their next chapters, the Darien Arts Center wishes Logan, Sabrina, Bridget, Zara, and Eloise all the joy and success in the world. Congratulations, Class of 2026.
