DARIEN, CT — The Darien Police Department announced Friday it is investigating an incident involving an elementary school student and a male in a minivan.
On Thursday, June 11, at approximately 6:15 p.m., police said they received a report of an incident that occurred earlier that day at 3 p.m. in which a Hindley Elementary School student was approached by a male in a whitish-gray minivan while walking home along the Post Road between the school and Lighthouse Way.
"According to the report, the male operator of the vehicle asked the student to get into the minivan," police said in a news release. "The student immediately ran from the area, and the vehicle continued eastbound on the Post Road."
