Great Island Committee To Review Parking Project Costs, Infrastructure, Next Steps

DARIEN, CT — The Great Island Parking Design Committee on Thursday is scheduled to receive pricing updates, permitting information and project scheduling details as planning continues for parking and related infrastructure improvements at Great Island.

The meeting is scheduled for July 30, at 4 p.m. and will be held virtually via Zoom. The agenda includes a public comment period at the beginning of the meeting. Residents may also submit written comments by email before the meeting.

Landscape architecture firm Reed Hilderbrand is expected to present updates on the project schedule and permitting process, including the status of the project's submission to the Environmental Protection Commission.

The committee is also scheduled to review updated pricing for major elements of the project, including sitework and grading, vehicular and pedestrian paving, site amenities, infrastructure and planting. Commissioners are also expected to discuss the project's next steps.

In addition, the committee is scheduled to consider approval of its July 16 meeting minutes and discuss proposed meeting dates through December.
