DARIEN, CT — A capsized boat was rescued from the waters of Long Island Sound over the weekend, according to the Darien Police Department.
The incident occurred on Sunday. Darien Marine Division officers responded to the capsized vessel in partnership with the SPD Marine Unit.
"Upon arrival, Darien officers immediately began assisting those involved and worked alongside their Stamford partners to ensure the safety of everyone on scene," Darien police said in a social post.
Police did not specify where exactly the incident occurred or how many people were involved. Patch has reached out to Darien police for more information.
"Great teamwork and collaboration between neighboring departments helped bring the situation under control safely and efficiently," Darien police added. "We are proud of the professionalism and dedication displayed by all of our Marine Division officers and our partners at Stamford PD."
