Suspects Entered Open Garage, Tried To Steal Vehicle: Police

DARIEN, CT — Darien police said they are investigating a reported home burglary from Sept. 2.

On that date at approximately 2:25 p.m., police responded to a home in the Nearwater Lane area.

"During the investigation, it was determined that two suspects entered an open, attached garage and attempted to steal a vehicle," police said. "When the homeowner arrived, the suspects fled to a Volvo XC40 and drove away."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Darien police.

Residents are being reminded to secure doors and windows and report suspicious persons or vehicles.
