DARIEN, CT — The Darien Planning and Zoning Commission may decide Tuesday on a proposal to open a wellness studio offering infrared saunas, cold plunges, IV drips and other treatments in The Corbin District.
The commission will meet in person at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in Room 206 at Darien Town Hall, 2 Renshaw Road.
Pause Studio is seeking a special permit to occupy 2,423 square feet of first-floor space at 15 Corbin Drive.
Founded by former Equinox executives in Los Angeles, Pause Studio offers programs focused on mental regeneration and physical recovery. Its services include infrared sauna, contrast therapy combining a sauna and cold plunge, IV drips, red light therapy, massage and a float isolation tank.
The first Connecticut Pause Studio location opened in Greenwich in August 2025.
The proposed Darien studio would operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. Between two and four employees and four to 10 customers are expected to be on-site at any given time, according to materials associated with the agenda item.
The public hearing on the Pause Studio application closed Sept. 8.
