For the third consecutive year, rival towns Darien and New
Canaan will join forces to ride for Team Darien-New Canaan in the 8thannual CT Challenge bike ride Saturday in Westport.
The team expects to have more than 20 riders who will raise money for Connecticut Challenge, a non-profit organization based in Southport that creates and supports unique survivorship programs to empower cancer survivors throughout the state.
Kim Kiner, a cancer survivor from Darien, formed the team
along with friend John Murphy of New Canaan in 2010. Kiner will be riding in her seventh CTC on the 25-mile course with her two daughters.
