Kosta Zinchanka Newest Pro for King’s Highway Tennis Club

Today, King’s Highway Tennis Club announces Kosta Zinchanka as Newest Pro.

Kosta Zinchanka, native of Minsk, Belarus began playing tennis at age of 7. Throughout his junior career he won many national and international tournaments and was ranked top three in Belarus and top 100 in ITF. He represented his country in many Europe and World Junior Championships alongside great champions like Marat Safin, Max Mirnyi and Vladimir Voltchkov.  Kosta continue his tennis career by playing in on professional circuit for two years. He played in the tournaments around the world and reached a 650 ranking of ATP.

In 2000, he decided to come to United States to get a college education. After enrolling in the University of South Alabama, Kosta had three very successful seasons playing for the Jaguars. During that time Kosta Zinchanka was a runner up in the Fall NCAA Championship in Stone Mountain, GA. During that time he won a WTT title in Palo Alto, CA and was ranked as high as fourth in the NCAA singles and fifth in doubles. Kosta Zinchanka was also a member of the team that went to compete in the NCAA Championship.

After graduation Kosta went to work at Saddlebrook Tennis Academy where he worked with Pro players, as well as with the top National and International Juniors. In 2004, Kosta went back to the University of South Alabama to complete his degree in Exercise Science. During that time he was an assistant coach for both men and women teams. In the past four years Kosta has worked at INTENSITY Club in Norwalk, CT. He worked with the top juniors in the New England Section as well as nationally ranked players.

For the last two summers Kosta was Director of summer programs, running a high performance camp for the elite tournament players.  During that time Kosta also worked closely along the side with Mike Slatery in the 10 and Under Program.
