
Darien resident, Malcolm H. Brown, lost his three-year battle to pancreatic cancer on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at home. He was 59 years old.
Born April 2, 1953, Brookeborough, Northern Ireland, he was a son of the late William and Iris Brown.
Mr. Brown came to the United States in 1956. He was a graduate of Darien High School and was the owner of M. H. Brown Landscaping Services for 40 years.

He was an avid outdoorsman and had a great love of hunting, fishing and boating. He was a member of the Darien Boat Club, a former member of the Darien Lions Club and Darien Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Brown and three children: Jenifer Brown of Charleston, SC; Matthew Brown; and Todd Latham and his wife Debbie of all of Darien. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Michael and Sarah Latham.

Also surviving are two brothers, William Brown and his wife Mary; and David Brown and his wife Cathy; and nephews, Andrew, Christopher, Timothy, Austin and Ryan; and predeceased by Jonathan Brown.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. at Noroton Presbyterian Church, 2011 Post Rd., Darien.
