Whole Foods Has Free Kids' Culinary Classes

The Veggiecation Program (www.veggiecation.com) and Whole Foods Market in Darien and Fairfield are keepings kids in the know about their veggies with kids’ culinary classes.

Using fresh fruits and veggies, kids will prepare Peppers Invade Chick Peas and Celery and Apple Smoothie.

As practiced in participating classrooms throughout the country, kids will be invited to help prepare Veggiecation Program’s recipes, sample culinary creations, experience vegetables in their raw form and cast a vote on how they liked the recipes.

Kids will take home complimentary character coloring pages, word games, mazes and stickers.  Parents will receive a copy of recipes created that day.

A curriculum based nutrition education concept developed for classrooms and at home, Veggiecation Program’s success with kids lies in the engaging activities that empower children with their food choices while demonstrating that eating vegetables is fun and delicious.
