Annual 'Sweetheart Dance' Upcoming In Darien: Details

DARIEN, CT — Girls in kindergarten through fifth grade and their father or another significant adult are invited to attend the town’s annual Sweetheart Dance, scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall gymnasium.

This year’s theme is "Disco Party," according to the town's most recent newsletter.

Attendees may dress casually, dress up, or wear disco-themed attire. The gymnasium will be decorated for an evening of dancing and activities. Each ticket includes light refreshments and a photo booth picture.

Tickets are available here. As of late Wednesday afternoon, there were just 14 openings left.

Volunteers are also being sought to help with event setup, registration, and the snack table -- allowing an opportunity for mothers, older siblings, or grandparents to participate.

High school students who volunteer are eligible to receive community service hours.
