DARIEN, CT — A 42-year-old Stamford man was arrested on a larceny charge on May 16 after he allegedly tried to steal $155 worth of packaged meats from the Stop and Shop on Height Road in Darien, according to police.
The suspect, James Coates, of Pequot Drive, was allegedly spotted by store employees "stuffing packaged meat into his vest and pants," wrote police in a statement.
