Those auditioning for the show will be asked to read from several scenes from the play. God of Carnage is a comedy that captures an evening in the lives of two couples living in an upscale Brooklyn neighborhood, who meet to discuss a playground incident involving their children.

As the evening wears on, the polite veneers break down. There are two male and two female roles: Alan Raleigh, aged 35 to 45, a lawyer with no manners, rude, sexist and obsessed with his cell phone; Annette Raleigh, aged 35 to 45, a career woman in wealth management, with little self confidence who lives on the verge of panic; Michael Novak, aged 35 to 45, who is rough around the edges, uncouth and racially biased; and Veronica Novak, aged 35 to 45, a writer of a book on Darfur, with judgmental attitudes who struggles to remain civil.
