BMW Stolen From Darien Found In New Jersey: Police

The owner of the car told police he left his keys in the vehicle the night before.

DARIEN, CT — A 2018 BMW 530 reported stolen from a Hickory Lane home in Darien last week was later found in New Jersey, according to police.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said the owner of the BMW told police Friday he had left the keys inside the car the night before and it was stolen sometime overnight.

Using tracking information through BMW, police found the stolen vehicle in East Orange, N.J., where it was towed from the scene, Skoumbros said.

Detectives processed the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing, Skoumbros said.
