Bone Takes Second in Pole Vault at N.E. Championships
Bone also finishes 14th in the 100 meter high hurdles.
Darien High School sophomore Robin Bone finished second in the girls' pole vault at the 65th annual New England Interscholastic Track and Field Championships, which took place Saturday at New Britain's Willowbrook Park.
Bone's leap of 10' 9.03" was topped only by Weston's Emily Ando, who posted a mark of 11' 03.00". Bone also finished 14th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.93.
Earlier this month, Bone topped the field of pole vaulters at the CIAC Class L meet with a leap of 11' 6.00".

Two other Darien athletes took part in the competition on Saturday. Kevin Keller was 13th in the boys' long jump (21'7.05") and Christy Gasparino placed 14th in the girls' high jump (5' 0").
