Broken Glass Found At Darien Train Station, Teen Arrested: Police

Police said they responded to the Darien Train Station on a report of two people attempting to gain access to the station lobby.

DARIEN, CT — A local teenager has been charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a Class D felony, after police say glass windows were damaged at the Darien Train Station.

John Morris, 19, of Stamford, was arrested on April 5 shortly after midnight.

At approximately 12:01 a.m., police responded to the Darien Train Station on a report of two people attempting to gain access to the station lobby and damaging windows, police said in an arrest report.

Responding officers located Morris in Tilley Pond
Park, police said, noting he matched the suspect description and had bleeding injuries to his hands.

Multiple panes of glass were broken on two station
windows, police said.

Morris was released after posting 7 percent cash on a $5,000 bond, police said. He's scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on April 22.
