Budget Discussions On Tap For Darien Board Of Selectmen
The Darien Board of Selectmen will soon meet for budget discussions.

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Board of Selectmen is scheduled to hold two consecutive budget review meetings next week, with discussions covering major town spending categories.
The board will meet Tuesday, Feb. 10, and Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. in Room 206 at Town Hall. Meetings are held in person with a Zoom option available for remote participation. Public comment periods are listed on both agendas.
The Feb. 10 meeting is scheduled to focus on departmental and townwide spending areas including the library, fire services, public works, transfers out to other funds, risk management, employee benefits, contingency and debt service. The discussion is part of the board’s ongoing review of the proposed municipal budget.

The meeting on Feb. 11 is expected to include review of other emergency services and the police budget, followed by final deliberations. The agenda lists a vote as part of the evening’s proceedings.
Residents may speak for up to three minutes during designated public comment periods at each meeting or submit written comments in advance to bos@darienct.gov.
