Caffeine Caper Steals $800 of Red Bull and 5-Hour Energy from Darien Store

One man likely won’t need his Keurig anytime soon.

A man stole more than $800 worth of Red Bull and 5-Hour Energy drinks from the CVS located on Post Road, according to police.

The suspect entered the store on May 30 a little after 8 p.m. and loaded two bags with the items, police said. He then exited the store without paying.

The man is suspected of leaving the area on foot as no vehicle was captured on video surveillance. He is described as a white male who is mostly bald and may have a mustache.

The incident is still under investigation.

It’s unclear whether he simply walked away from the store’s vicinity or jolted in a caffeine-induced getaway.
