Help Teens Turn Pressure Into Power: Building Resilience and Connection with Choose Love

Scarlett Lewis, founder of the Choose Love Movement and DHS alumni, will be speaking at the Darien Library on supporting youth mental health with solutions on managing high-stress environments.
Lewis will share how the Choose Love Formula™ offers simple, research-based tools that help students, families, and schools handle stress in healthy, positive ways. She will explain how these skills can strengthen emotional well-being, improve relationships, and support long-term mental health for children and the adults who care for them.
Since her six year old son was murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012, Lewis has spoken globally sharing her empowering story urging everyone to become part of the solution to the issues the world is facing. She has appeared on NBC, CBS, Fox News, CNN, and many more national and local networks, and has been recognized as a Bloomberg Businessweek Bloomberg 50, Forbes’ 50 Over 50 Impact, WTNH Remarkable Woman for Connecticut, YWCA Darien/Norwalk Women of Distinction Award, and more.
The event is open to the public and intended for parents, students, educators, and community members committed to strengthening youth mental health and emotional well-being.
