TOPIC: Redefining Motherhood: Different Than Expected, Deeper Than Imagined

Speakers:
Julie Vincent, Founder, The Gifted Life and Kelly Towart, Foster & Adoptive Mom & Content Creator

Facilitated by Penny Goffman, Host & Community Connector & Founder, THATPENNY | CONNECT, with local powerhouse speakers, Q&A to follow

Calling all women redefining ‘normal’ - this is the POWERChat for you! Motherhood rarely unfolds exactly as we imagined. What begins as ‘not what I expected’ often becomes something deeper, richer, and profoundly transformative. Join us for an honest and hope-filled conversation with two mothers whose journeys look different from the cultural norm. One, a foster and adoptive mom, shares the beauty and heartbreak of loving children through uncertainty, attachment, and resilience. The other, a mother of two, opens up about the challenges and gifts of raising children who each experience the world differently. One traditionally gifted and one gifted through the lens of a unique diagnosis, including the advocacy, complexity, and wonder that comes with it. Together, they will speak candidly about adversity, grief for what they thought would be, and the unexpected gifts that have shaped them into stronger, more compassionate women. Motherhood, even when it looks nothing like you planned, can be deeper and more beautiful than you ever imagined.
