Car Break-Ins Reported At Park, Country Club In Darien: Police

The incidents were reported to police late last month.

DARIEN, CT — Two cars were broken into and there was a report of an attempted break-in late last month in Darien, according to the Darien Police Department's latest crime summary.

On the morning of March 30, a Darien police officer responded to a home on Raymond Street on a report of an attempted car burglary, police said.

The reporting party told police his Ring camera footage showed two suspects trying to open his car doors at 3:38 a.m., however, both cars were locked and nothing was taken.

The following day shortly after 6 p.m., police responded to Cherry Lawn Park. A woman there told police she had been at the park for approximately two hours, and when she returned to her car, she found the front passenger window smashed, police noted.

The car's interior appeared to have been rummaged through, but nothing was missing, according to police.

Around 7 p.m. on March 31, a woman at Darien Country Club told police that when she returned to her car at around 6:30 p.m., she found a rear window smashed, police said, adding that the woman's purse and phone were stolen.

No arrests have been made.
